Stateside Visitors

This week we were delighted to play host to Lori and Len Bruno from Lori Bruno Interiors www.loribrunointeriors.com

They arrived after what they said was an “easy” flight from New York, and we went straight for a tour of my studio in Galashiels followed by a walk around Melrose. 

Lori and Len were great guests! They were so enthusiastic about how beautiful the Scottish Borders is, and how authentic everything and everyone is.  They loved Micheal Vee Interior Design https://www.facebook.com/p/Michael-Vee-Design-100063818115301/ , the Melrose Abbey and the stunning drive to Ettrick Bridge.

Lori has commissioned a large felt artwork from me for a new show-flat that she is designing in Manhattan, and wanted something highly sculpted, with a natural theme, and using colours to fit into her existing palette. She was delighted with the piece that I made for her…pics below show the piece at various stages:

And finally, she sent me this picture of her unpacking the piece back in her studio in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The piece is now ready to custom frame. Lori loved the piece so much that she has since ordered two smaller pieces to go on adjoining walls in the same show flat.
